22 Limited Edition Residences in the heart of Madrid

The Palacio de la Equitativa, also known as the Banco Español de Crédito building, is the work of José Grases Riera and dates back to 1887. The building is the result of town planning carried out by the City Council of Madrid in the second half of 19th century. Located at the intersection of the streets Alcalá and Panaderos (now known as Sevilla) and with the intention of accommodating an insurance company, retail units and apartments, this trapezoidal building with façades of more than 120 m was soon to be converted into one of Madrid's landmarks. In 1920, the building was acquired by the Banco Español de Crédito and under the leadership of architect Joaquín Saldaña, was adapted and converted into what became its historic headquarters until it was bought by Banco Santander in 1994.
